Our senior class set out to redesign Union Station not just to accommodate the coming high-speed rail, but to change the way people of LA think about traveling through the station and using the train.

Our vision of the New Union Station is open, clean, and green. It is not just a place to “get stuck” or ” kill time”. Our vision of the new station is a destination in and of itself. Ample seating, places to relax, and an environment that takes advantage of our fantastic climate.

Wow great great job. Very impressed, I could totally see that being a reality.

  3. Katherine says:

Great stuff. I like how you guys focused on how visitors will experience the station. The thoughtful details and ease of use should attract new people encourage repeated use.

  4. Monique MacIntosh says:

Very nice presentation to cover a lot of information on what it could be like inside and outside the trains, platform, station and annex: clean, simple, understandable. I would have loved to see how your station relates to the larger area because you are absolutely right, you took advantage of the local climate with your station design. I felt like your ideas were focused on the immediate station and you made me really curious about what you could come up with to revitalize that area. I was disappointed when the video ended.

This fly through movie is a great format to put so many individual design concepts in a short time frame together.
Creating an overall concept and executing it among so many students might have bin challenging on times. The result is therefore very cool. I congratulate the once who made this fun to watch movie, showing a vision for LA’s next generation High Speed Rail Station.

Can anyone make this come true? Don’t miss any brilliant ideas like this, go for it!!

  13. John says:

Nice presentation of new products and technology on the market. Architectural design is lame. Seems everybody is commenting on the cool technological products displayed but nobody discusses the architectural design. I think they missed the whole point of design ideas. Granted it may be good for interior accommodations and gadgets, but I just don’t see the overall master architectural design/planning.

  16. Ryan says:

Great presentation! I really liked to see how the details of the environment would possibly come together for the user.Too often only the pretty architecture images of the building are shown, but this presentation is great how it communicates the details of the overall experience.
